Anna Guellner

I am Anna Guellner and I am a French horn player. I have been playing horn since I was 11 years old

and I am studying at the Royal Birmingham conservatoire. I am an international student; I am half-

German, half-Dutch, but born and raised in Belgium. Music has been a part of my life since I was very

young: I started playing piano when I was 5 years old, and switched to French horn later on. Playing

the French horn has given me the opportunity to express myself more, since I am a shy person in

general. In Belgium, I played in 2 youth orchestras and a brass ensemble, so I was excited when RRO

asked me if I would like to play in their orchestra. I love playing music with other people. I have been

playing with the Romantic Revival Orchestra since last year as the principal French horn.
